Role Description: Procurement Officer (Sourcing)
- Supplier Selection and Onboarding: Identify and onboard suppliers who can consistently provide the desired quality of goods and services. This process involves rigorous assessment and verification to maintain the highest standards.
- Contract Management and Framework Agreements: Efficiently manage organizational contracts and establish Framework Agreements for goods and services essential for achieving our mission of delivering exceptional outcomes for children.
- Cost Optimization: Implement competitive and transparent procurement processes to maximize value for money. This ensures that every procurement decision aligns with our commitment to cost-effectiveness.
- Contract Renewals: Ensure the timely renewal or extension of all existing Framework Agreements and contracts well before their expiration dates to prevent disruptions in operations.
- FWA Tracker Management: Oversee the management of the Framework Agreement tracker for our entire country program, maintaining accuracy and accessibility of critical procurement data.
- Tender Initiation: Initiate all tender processes by efficiently managing sourcing projects within Prosave, our designated procurement platform.
- Vendor and Contract Management: Streamline the operational buying process by maintaining robust vendor and contract management practices, ensuring a seamless procurement workflow.
- Supplier Relationships: Foster strong relationships with suppliers to enhance collaboration and reliability, ultimately contributing to the organization's success.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, conduct due diligence checks, and negotiate effectively to secure favorable terms. Savings achieved through these efforts are meticulously recorded in the form of BAF (Best Available Funds) for the organization's benefit.
- Operational Buying: When required, step into the role of an operational buyer to ensure smooth procurement operations during busy periods.
- Supporting Procurement Coordinator: Collaborate closely with the Procurement Coordinator – Sourcing to facilitate the day-to-day functions of the sourcing team and contribute to the overall success of our procurement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/ BSc in operation; procurement, logistics, force chain operation, or affiliated field.
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Force ( CIPS UK) or original experience will be an advantage.
- A Master’s Degree in the below fields is an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 4 times of applicable experience working in procurement, rather in an NGO/ and/ or development program, with in-depth experience in managing procurement processes.
- Strong knowledge and experience in enforcing procurement processes, driving contract compliance, and embedding buying stylish practices.
- Excellent supplier operation chops and a strong capability to hold suppliers responsible for delivering on their liabilities.
- Knowledge of NGO/ Donor programs and their compliance conditions in respect to Procurement and wider force chain exertion Strong interpersonal and communication chops including impacting, concession, and coaching.
- Excellent organizational chops, with the capability to juggle multiple tasks with contending precedences and contemporaneously stick to deadlines, whilst maintaining connections with suppliers and guests.
- Excellent reporting chops, particularly the capability to snappily develop clear and terse delivery shadowing, scheduling or pricing, patron, yearly KPI reports amenability to take over field trips as needed and work in delicate surroundings according to trip surroundings. Excellent oral and spoken communication chops; ignorance of spoken and written English; Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s points, values, and principles
