Cooperazione Internazionale is an Italian philanthropic non-governmental association innovated in Milan in 1965. COOPI aims to
help the world’s poorest to ameliorate their access to healthcare, food,
and fiscal security, and to overcome
their special vulnerability to wars, civil conflicts, and natural disasters. For
50 times of long-term support and constant presence in the field, COOPI has
been engaged in breaking the cycle of poverty and responding to specific extremities in multitudinous sectors, including Food
Security, Humanitarian Aid, Health, Socio- Economical Services, Water and
Sanitation, Disaster Risk Reduction, Human Rights, Education and Training,

- Job Title: Community Support Worker / Psychosocial Community Mobilizer

The Community Support Workers( CSW)(/ Psychosocial community mobilizers are responsible for executing all the tasks with respect to community rallying and collaboration of protection/ conflict and DRR conditioning in assigned original government areas in Kaduna State.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
Under the direct supervision of the protection officer, and in collaboration with the elderly program officer and other collaborators of Sokoto Bases, S/ he will
- Act as a representative of COOPI at the LGA position icing professional relationship is erected between the association, the community, community leaders, government officers, civil society in the area, etc.
- Conduct rallying of communities and community groups for the perpetration of colorful Disaster threat reduction, social protection, protection, and peace structure conditioning including meetings, training, assessments, evaluations, etc.
- give community and door-to-door mindfulness and sensitization on GBV, PSS, and Social protection-related enterprises, etc.
- Ensure equal participation of women and men in all design conditioning
- Liaise with the protection officer, mess officer, original communities, and community leaders to ensure an applicable gender-sensitive complaint and feedback medium is in place and functional.
- Contribute to the design and perpetration of outreach conditioning to give inputs to outreach community stakeholders.
- give the relation between COOPI and LGA icing original authorities, community leaders, and community members are streamlined about the design.
- Support assessments or data collection at the LGA position in collaboration with the protection officer and mess officer.
Additional Responsibilities
- Performs any other necessary action related to the position to achieve the objectives of the design and of COOPI in Nigeria if requested by the Team Leader
- Upholds COOPI’s charge and Duty of Values;
- Follows and enforces all COOPI canons of conduct and programs( encyclopedically and in-country);
- Perform any other action related to the position demanded to achieve the objects of the systems and of COOPI Nigeria if requested by his/ her administrator.
Requirements
Education:
- Minimal National Diploma, National Certificate of Education in Social Studies, Project Management, Disaster Management, or another applicable field.
- Professional training in disaster threat operation and or social protection.
Experience:
- At least 2 times of applicable work experience in NGO seeker from and or living in Zaria LGA of Kaduna State will be prioritized.
- Experience working with original community groups
and institutions like seminaries etc. Proven knowledge of community rallying and participatory methodologies and previous experience enforcing Disaster threat Reduction,
Protection, peace structure, and
conflict metamorphosis programs in original community situations would be
an added advantage.
Knowledge, Skills, and
Languages:
- Easily spoken and written in English is needed Have knowledge of an original language rather than Hausa.
- Strong specialized chops in disaster threat operation, protection or peace structure, and conflict metamorphosis tone- supporting in computers ( word processing, spreadsheets, internet, and web-grounded searching, etc.)
- veritably good understanding of original environment( socio, political and profitable situation of the area) Good communication, interpersonal and networking chops
Qualities:
- Cleave to COOPI values and abide by the law of conduct and other programs.
- Capability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Mastery of English ( ignorance in spoken and written languages).
- Have a knowledge of an original language rather than Hausa.
