Project Overview and Role  

Precaution seeks two Data critics for the five-time, USAID-funded Nigeria Integrated Health Program( IHP) – Task Order 6 – Ebonyi State. The thing of IHP is to contribute to state-position reductions in child and motherly morbidity and mortality and to increase the capacity of health systems( public and private) to sustainably support quality PHC services.   

 

The purpose of Task Order 6 is to apply precedence primary health interventions in Ebonyi state to strengthen the state government area( LGA), and ward position health systems. The objectives of the program are a) strengthen systems supporting primary health care( PHC) services b) ameliorate access to PHC services, and c) increase quality of PHC services. Strong engagement and collaboration with state government are anticipated throughout the program.   

 

Task Order 6 will coordinate with other USAID conditioning and other development mate programs in the state. USAID will designedly overlay this exertion with other Mission programming to increase the Government of Nigeria( GON)  coffers for PHC services, increase demand for PHC services, and ameliorate access to essential goods. The exertion is anticipated to unite nearly with those other enforcing mates and won't take over any conditioning formerly enforced by other USAID programs.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Responsible for monitoring,  assaying, and reporting HMIS data; 
  • Analyze and troubleshoot HMIS  stoner issues to  apply a resolution or escalate the case to Pathways staff; 
  • Provides ongoing training and specialized  backing to HMIS  druggies via dispatch, phone, and webcast, and on  point as applicable; 
  • Leads the development and  perpetuation of data quality,  operation, and analysis plans; 
  • Provides on-point data quality assessment of LGA, health  installations, and others by  aiding with  perpetration planning, including data entry process  enhancement; 
  • Prepares regular and ad-hoc reports, analyses,  donations, maps, graphs, and other documents as assigned; 
  • Performs data quality checks and observes for gaps. 
  • Reports to HMIS Specialist

 

Needed Qualifications  

The Data Analyst will have some experience up-to-date knowledge and chops in MIS and M&E for health systems and healthcare provision. S/ he must be familiar with the HMIS data environment at the State position and working with health installations and LGA for data collection, reporting, and use. S/ he should have experience with USAID International patron programs. Fresh qualifications include  

  • A Bachelor’s degree / HND in demography, statistics, information technology, public health information operation, or affiliated field. 
  • Minimum of 3 times of working with HMIS for public health  Experience in using NHMIS Tools and DHIS2  faculty in MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience using statistical software and   Good oral and spoken communication chops  
  • Experience in facilitation of training  shops and onsite mentoring of health workers  
  • Fluent in English( written and oral communication) and Hausa
